This project was commissioned in 1951 by the industrial engineer Eustaquio Ugalde. In a mediterranean pine forest in Caldes d’Estrac, in the North of Barcelona, Coderch built a series of volumes that grow out of nature absorbing the serpentine topography.
A few years later, Coderch joined the CIAM in 1959 and became also a member of TEAM 10 in 1960.
