First edition, this second printing ( published in 2003) of « SHINJUKU » is limited to only 500 signed (on front endpaper with his characteritic silver ink) , and slipcased copies. Softcover, 608 pages with 608 black & white plates. Photographically illustrated stiff wrappers , title printed in pink on spine , under photographically illustrated dust jacket with French folds in original cardboard slipcase with debossed printed title in pink.

Photographs and text by : Daido Moriyama ( see the folded board sheet inside) . At night , camera in hand, when i walk from Kabukicho to Kuyakusho Street, and then along Okubo Street to Shinokubo Station, every once in awhile I get a chill up my spine. Without anything in particular happening, I sense myself flinching somewhere…
