The Family Album of Lucybelle Crater is Meatyard’s swan song, mostly produced in the last two years of his short life ( he died in 1972) This work was published posthumously . The original edition , was published in 1974 , by his friends Jonathan Williams at the Jargon Society , North Carolina .
